8 Things That Could Tempt CM Punk To Make WWE Return

4. The Chance To Settle Unfinished Business

As much as he was probably glad to get out of the company, it's not totally unreasonable to believe that there's a very small part of CM Punk that wishes he could have closed his professional wrestling career on a happier note.

After all, he'd been a fan of the profession all of his life, and 2014 marked 15 years since his 1999 debut on the independent circuit as a professional. As someone who grew up as such a big fan of the business, it's hard to believe he'd have wanted anything less than to at least go out on a high note, and not in such chaotic circumstances.

By coming back for one more run, however short that may ultimately prove to be, Punk and the WWE could collectively put the past behind them and finish things up on a much happier note. That could one day open the door for such things such as the Hall of Fame, or other collective business interests that WWE engages in with legends of the past.

It would also serve as a chance for the pro-wrestling fans to actually to say a proper goodbye to the man they idolise and give him a rapturous send off. Punk's never been one to crave anyone else’s approval, but it would be a fitting conclusion to his career were he to bow out in front of the adoring masses that stood by him through thick and thin, no matter how many times he was held back from the top of the card.
