A glaring reason Seth Rollins reign was doomed to failure was the fact HE NEVER BEAT THE CHAMPION. Instead, he pinned Roman Reigns, and stole the championship like a scoundrel. Paul Heyman warned us all in the lead up to Wrestlemania, that Rollins would be cheaper as champion if he cashed in. That ended up being a gross understatement, as Seth Rollins became the biggest paper champion since Union Kane in Rocky V.
Following WrestleMania, it was like a reset occurred and the title was randomly assigned to him. When it came time to face Brock Lesnar like a man the night after, he ran out of the arena to set up Brock's mauling of Michael Cole.
