8 Things That Doomed Seth Rollins WWE Title Reign From The Start

Secretly, Seth Rollins' PPV title matches have been an exercise in eye rolling. While Rollins is a great worker, interference and gimmick finishes have stifled many of his contests. Kane was tied in to his matches to a ridiculous degree.

Fans pretty much sat on their hands until Kane ruined whatever match Rollins was defending the title in, including his stellar role as "The Guardian of The Gate" at Extreme Rules. Also in that match, they banned only the most exciting move in wrestling, The RKO, while the steel cage ended up keeping no one out of it. 

From there, Kane and J & J pretty much turned the Fatal 4 Way match against Orton, Reigns and Ambrose into a Survivor Series match. Fans snoozed on Rollins vs. Orton to such a degree, two more guys were brought in to freshen things up. To top that, a Dusty Finish was used in his first match against Ambrose. While it was done well, it didnt do anything for Rollins as a champion. 

Perhaps the most egregious booking when it comes to Rollins was his match against Brock Lesnar, where he was mauled for nine minutes while managing to unleash enough super kicks to make Young Bucks jealous, until The Undertaker caused another non-finish. 

If you were counting, Rollins has only defended his Championship cleanly once, in a match with no rules, where he fell down with the title, while yanking it from another mans grasp during the descent.
