House shows, or live events as they are now more commonly known as are non televised shows, often with cheaper admission prices than televised shows. As a result of the removal of both audiences and touring schedules house shows are currently a thing of the past.

Not only were these shows a way for the fans to experiencing a professional wrestling show and see all their favorite stars live and in person, they were also beneficial to both promotions and wrestlers. House shows gave the wrestlers a platform to test crowd reactions and rehearse and practice for the weekly televised shows and pay per views. It was very common to see similar spots on house shows that would later be seen on TV. Talent could also try new moves, trial character changes and most importantly let their hair down and have fun.

House shows will probably be one of the last things to make a return when the world gets back to normal, their return is much anticipated!
