Nash mentioned how the company is in full gear getting ready for WrestleMania 33 and wanted to know what AJ’s life is currently like. He replied that this time of year is always non-stop work with media and preparations, but also something he never thought he’d have the chance to be a part of.

AJ equated it to Christmas, saying that maybe he got what he wanted this year and maybe he didn’t, but if not it’s time to start looking forward to next year’s big holiday. To him, WrestleMania is his version of America's most cherished holiday.

Shawn said that’s one of the reasons he took time off; he was was pushed so hard and fast that he never had a chance to stop and savor the moments that he aspired to enjoy for so long. He stated that one of the best aspects of retirement is the freedom to be able to sit back and reflect, seeing every moment of his career in full context.

It's made him unbelievably thankful for all the experiences he got to partake in.

This segment is particularly notable for the comment Styles made insinuating he may or may not have gotten what he wanted out of this year's 'Mania. Could this be a veiled hint that he was unhappy being programmed against Shane McMahon?

Even if that is the case, no criticism should be directed toward AJ for his work on the card, as he went out of his way to attempt to steal the show.
