8 Things We Learned From Brock Lesnar's Revealing ESPN Interview

1. He Had Concerns About Breaking The Streak

The decision by Vince McMahon to have Brock Lesnar break The Undertaker's undefeated Streak didn't just upset fans; it also left many of those in the wrestling business fuming. It's been talked to death in the fifteen months or so which have followed though, and is even serving as the main reason that the two will meet again at SummerSlam this coming Sunday for a sure to be epic rematch. However, it turns out that Brock himself was pretty concerned about finding out that he would be the one to conquer that legendary Streak. "It was a very strange experience for me, because the legend of The Undertaker was supposed to live on. A lot of weight on my shoulders, to be the guy to take that away from the company, the fans, and even my co-workers. But at the end of the day, it was a business decision by Vince McMahon, and, hey, I€™ll take the win whenever I can." As for how those co-workers felt about him being responsible for this historic moment in WWE history, Lesnar added: "A lot of these guys that are working now grew up with the Undertaker, watching the Undertaker. WrestleMania was his show and I took that away." While Paul Heyman has since cleverly turned Brock's victory at WrestleMania 30 into a speech he's used to taunt fans and his client's opponents with, it's obvious that this victory and the responsibilities which came with it weren't taken lightly by The Beast. Brock even acknowledged the fact that despite being a babyface, he still gets booed whenever him ending The Streak is mentioned, but came across as both humble and grateful for being given the opportunity to cement his legacy in the WWE with such a monumental victory.
