8 Things We Learned From Brock Lesnar's Revealing ESPN Interview

2. He's Impressed By Ronda Rousey, But Not Her Opponents

Even if you're not a UFC fan, you've no doubt heard of Ronda Rousey by this point. With an impressive 12-0 record, she dominates her opponents in the Octagon in record time, and somehow manages to squeeze in the odd acting gig and even an appearance at this year's WrestleMania. Hell, she's even making headlines this week as a fan-favourite choice to play Captain Marvel! Praising all of that, Brock described Rousey as a "super athlete in a weak division," a statement which may not sit well with some fans of the UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. However, he was quick to point out that he still has a lot of respect for what she's accomplished up to this point. "She's a man amongst women in the women's division," he added. "I'm not taking any talent away from her at all. She's a super beast, a super freak, in the division." If anyone is qualified to come up with an assessment like this, it's a guy who was once UFC Champion. His comments echo what many people have been saying for some time now; Rousey is dominating her division because she doesn't have any decent competition. Given her budding relationship with the WWE, it would have been easy for Brock to give a standard stock answer about how great she is, so kudos to him for being honest with his thoughts here.
