CM Punk is all tucked up in a hotel room bed somewhere following Raw/SmackDown/a WWE PLE. Suddenly, after putting his phone down and kissing the picture of AJ Lee on his bedside table, he stares at the ceiling and reimagines walking out in front of screaming fans at Survivor Series 2023. According to Punk, that's something he actually does a whole lot.

The comeback king says part of him is always “tethered” to Survivor Series 2023 so he can “relive it” and “be there” again. Speaking of cathartic (which Punk described the entire interview with Stephanie as) that night was definitely a cleansing experience for him. All fears and doubts that WWE's audience would remember him were washed away in the tidal wave of noise.

Goosebumps sprinted all over Punk's body as a booming Allstate Arena in the great Chicago area welcomed him back to company business. Good to see you're looking well, Phil. Now pull up a chair and let's get cracking. That was the vibe at Survivors 2023, and it was like Punk had never been away. He wants to hold onto that feeling for as long as he possibly can.

If you were there that night inside the arena, or watching at home around the world, then you were part of a moment that'll live with CM Punk forever. The thought of him replaying that comeback over and over again in his head each night is a positive one. No-one could've foreseen this when he was walking out on Raw shortly after the 2014 Royal Rumble.
