8 Things We Learned From GFW's Ed Nordholm On Wrestling Observer Radio

1. No Resolution To The Broken Hardys Saga

It's impossible to talk about Matt and Jeff Hardy without mentioning the prospect of the Broken Universe potentially making it to WWE television. Their latest run has been surrounded by talk of imminent deletions from the moment they returned at WrestleMania 33, but the gimmick remains in limbo, and Nordholm put his defences up when asked about the topic.

The question clearly caught Ed by surprise, as there was a long, awkward silence before he eventually decided to answer. He described it as a "challenging situation with a lot of heat in different places," but said that he wouldn't have handled things any differently, given how the people involved chose to conduct discussions. "It was what it was," he said, then added that he was "looking forward to not dealing with it in the future."

If this matter is to be resolved, it'll probably be done inside a courtroom. GFW insist that they own the gimmick, but the Hardys have never been shy of publicly criticising the company's stance, with Matt's wife Reby particularly vocal in shooting them down on Twitter. For now, it looks as though their "woken" teases are the closest thing we'll get to Broken Brilliance in WWE.
