8 Things We Learned From Kane On The Ross Report
8. JR Views Kane As One Of His Favourite Signings
Jim Ross was responsible for bringing guys like Mick Foley, Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, and even The Rock to WWE during his time as Senior Vice President of Talent Relations. Those names tower over Isaac Yankem D.D.S or the 'fake' Diesel, but Ross still regards Glenn Jacobs as one of his finest ever signings.
Long before he was terrifying everyone as Kane, Jacobs was just another big man wrestler struggling to find a winning character in the mid-90s. Bombing as both an evil dentist and Kevin Nash rip off (nobody can blame him for that), Jacobs was nonetheless a favourite of JR's before he struck gold as The Undertaker's on screen brother.
Specifically using the words "integrity" and "reliability" when describing his friend, Ross said few were better than Jacobs when it came to sheer decency or diligence at work. That's high praise indeed from a man who once had the dubious honour of hiring and firing WWE's talent roster.
