8 Things We Learned From WWE 24: New Orleans

4. Nia Jax Is Extremely Popular Backstage

In late 2017, Nia Jax briefly disappeared from our screens. According to some outlets, her leave of absence came as a consequence of backstage bullying, a rare case of art eventually imitating reality (at least, for a bit).

If Jax was the unfortunately and unfair target of locker-room mistreatment two years back, there's absolutely not question over her professional popularity now. After overcoming Alexa Bliss to claim her first WWE championship, Jax is welcomed behind the curtain by a rousing chant of "Nia! Nia!", before a clutch of her female colleagues suffocate her in a heartfelt embrace (if this was a Royal Rumble, they'd all have been blown away seconds later).

Cesaro and Braun Strowman are similarly on hand to offer Nia their genuine words of congratulations. It's enough to melt the iron giant's heart.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
