This is a very minor inference, and something that is patently obvious to anyone with the vaguest understanding of television production, but one interesting oversight was a shot showing that the WWE crew in the control truck are intimately following rivals on other stations as Raw is in progress.

What this means is that the timings of every segment - and perhaps even the order - are likely micro-managed on the night in response to what's happening on another station. Is there a lull in play on the gridiron? That's the time to spring a big surprise or major angle.

To what extent WWE's product is reactive more than proactive we don't know, but it's an insight into the confidence - or lack of - the team has in it.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
