8 Things We Learned From WWE Chronicle: Paige

2. She Has The Support Of Management

One thing that really shines throughout the piece - and of course, it's hard to tell to what extent this is manufactured both by the documentarians' remit and Paige's proclivity for professional preservation - is that WWE's ruling family are totally on side with their troubled superstar.

Paige stresses that the company has stuck by her throughout all her problems, both self-inflicted and unavoidable, during the last two years. She explicitly states that "the bosses are there and supporting me," and this is in evidence as we see genuine moments of affection between her and a winking, guffawing Vince McMahon, and in particular, a motherly Stephanie McMahon.

At one point, Steph whispers in Paige's ear as if to an adoptive daughter: "This is your home. Don't worry about it." The fact she's still with the company despite her personal strife speaks volumes of the extent to which her employers wish to protect her.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
