4. Jason Jordan Has Been Through The Ringer

Jason Jordan might be winning all kinds of plaudits in 2016, but it hasn’t always been this way. The Chicago native has endured a long, hard road to the top, and after all he’s been through since signing in 2011, he’s more than earned his place at the top table.

Starting off as a singles wrestling in FCW, Jordan found little traction throughout his early days, and often found himself thrown together with other wrestlers as squash match fodder for more established tag teams. He and CJ Parker did capture the FCW Tag Team Champions prior to the promotion’s rebranding, but only held the straps for a paltry 15 days.

In NXT, Jordan returned to the singles division and regularly appeared as a jobber throughout 2012 and 2013. In 2014, he formed a tag team with Tye Dillinger that started promisingly, but quickly faded away. The duo were rarely used as anything more than enhancement talent throughout their run, and went their separate ways in February 2015.

Nothing was clicking for Jordan, and it seemed like he was doomed to never fulfil his immense potential. That all changed just over three months later...
