8. She Used To Be Constantly Mistaken For Scary Spice
Newer fans of World Wrestling Entertainment are familiar with Layla's more traditional straight hair look. When she won the Diva Search competition in 2006 and officially signed with the company, she had a wild, curly 'do that helped set her apart from the other women on the roster. It very much fit her fun, sassy and energetic personality. One of the most vivid memories of her early days with WWE was watching her jump up and down upon the revelation that she had won the Diva Search contest, that head of hair of hers bopping up and down at the same time. According to the Brit, however, her hair has led to more than one instance of mistaken identity, as she told King Magazine in an exclusive interview.
Heres what happened. I always used to have long hair so I never got that, but as soon as I cut it and started wearing it funkier, I started to hear that I looked like her. If you really pay attention, we really dont look alike. If you want to be generic about it, maybe; but, if you really look at it, no. Do I still get it? No. And if I do, I will slap somebody in the head.
Really? Outside of ethnicity and their English heritage, there really is nothing linking Layla and Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown. They don't look alike facially, nor do they have similar builds. Brown is likely taller and even their signature hair styles were different enough that they could not easily be mixed up. We'll just assume that those making the comparisons were blind.
