8 Things WWE Have Promised For WrestleMania 33 (And Must Deliver)

4. That There Will Be 'WrestleMania Moments'

WWE’s obsession with ‘WrestleMania Moments’ is borderline unhealthy, and it’s getting to the point where random pop-eliciting spectacles are carted out in favour of matches and stories that make sense.

But if WWE are right about one thing, it’s that these ‘moments’ are what make WrestleMania stand out from any other PPV on the calendar. That’s arguably one of the main reasons why WrestleMania 32 just didn’t feel all that special.

Sure, there was Zack Ryder’s Intercontinental win (which was completely negated the next night), the reveal of the Women’s title (which happened on the pre-show), The New Day’s cereal entrance, and Shane McMahon’s Cell jump (the consequences of which were also completely negated 24 hours later), but outside of those there weren’t really any huge moments worth writing home about. At least, there was nothing that really stood up to the majority of ‘WrestleMania Moments’ that preceded it in the thirty-one years prior.

That’s something this year’s show will have to deliver, if not for the sake of ‘making history’, but for the sake of off-setting a seven hour show with something worth sitting still for.
