8 Things You Didn't Know About Ready To Rumble

As amazing as it seems, considering how spectacularly poorly it turned out, there were in fact rumours that a Ready to Rumble sequel was going to be made. Although details are sketchy, it appears as though this was such a fun production to work on (listen to the DVD commentary) that they wanted to go another round.

When the film completely tanked, costing WCW and distributors Warner Bros. millions of dollars, any plans for a sequel were shelved indefinitely.

Speaking of Warner Bros., because they own the rights to the film, Ready to Rumble will never be available to stream on the WWE Network, unless WWE pay them a hefty figure for the rights, of course (which they won't).

It may have been made in conjunction with WCW, be loaded with WCW stars and result in WCW crowning David Arquette its World Heavyweight Champion, but it is Kevin Tsujihara's company that owns the copyright on it.
