8 Things You Didn't Know About WWE's Mansoor

Mansoor's historic 50-man Battle Royal victory was heralded as a feel-good moment for the hometown hero, and although the victor, contrary to so many fictional wrestling nativities, was actually born in Saudi Arabia, he didn't spend much of his childhood there.

At a young age, Mansoor's family made the arduous migration all the way to California, where he grew up. It was The Golden State where Mansoor got his first break in wrestling, trying out with Oakland's Hoodslam as soon as he was old enough.

Though Mansoor was raised in the States, he speaks fluent Arabic - as heard in his triumphant speech on Friday. Obviously, for WWE's purposes, he'll be strictly billed from Riyadh between now and November.

He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
