8 Things You Learn From Watching Battleground’s Main Event With Hindi Commentary

2. The Great Khali Was Treated Like A Returning Saviour

As soon as The Great Khali appeared, the Hindi team acted like God himself had just walked down the aisle to stop that no-good Randy Orton from stealing Jinder Mahal's WWE Title. At first, they didn't do anything other than shout loudly in appreciation of Khali's presence, as though WWE's biggest ever star had shown up.

Khali's appearance was a surprise, no doubt, but it didn't come across quite as grand with English commentary as it did with Hindi. Michael Cole and chums did sell the shock of the big Indian's return, yet chose to focus on him screwing Randy Orton out of surefire victory instead of hailing a returning hero.

Excited and going over-the-top with gushing praise for Khali, the Indian commentators told a story of solidarity between Jinder Mahal and his giant compatriot. No mention was given to the fact both men had feuded in WWE years ago, or even to the fact Khali had 'created' the Punjabi Prison.
