8 Times AEW's Tony Khan Was A DISASTER-TIER Booker

7. Hangman's Solo Title Reigns

'Hangman' Adam Page has been involved in most of AEW's best stories to date. From dethroning Kenny Omega, The Elite and his own personal imposter syndrome to win his first World Championship, his bitter feud and subsequent reconciliation with Swerve Strickland, and being AEW's saviour in overthrowing Jon Moxley and The Death Riders, 'Hangman' has no problem with rousing fans to engage in the storylines he is involved in.

Where TK and his team have hit a massive roadblock is what to do with 'Hangman' is when he reaches the summit of the mountain. Your satisfaction with Page's solo title reigns may vary, but what's undeniable is that his least successful story arcs to date have all come while holding the AEW title. An unsatisfactory run with Adam Cole came in the aftermath of his glorious ascension at Full Gear 2021, and his second reign featured little of note for himself, though he did an excellent job of selling Kyle Fletcher as a future world champion during a way-too-short feud leading to 2025's All In.

There will undoubtedly be future world title runs for 'Hangman'. His all-round work is immense, and fans buy him as a main event with good reason. It is vital that the next time he wears an AEW title, he is given something that feels as compelling as when he is chasing glory.
