4. Beating Everyone In The WWE (And Not Returning The Favour)
WWE rightfully pushed Brock Lesnar straight to the top. Despite the fact that he hadn't 'paid his dues' on the indies and made more money in developmental than many guys made on the main roster, wrestling full-time on the road, WWE had to push him and push him hard. They needed a return on their investment (and Brock was a big investment) and so they had Lesnar go out and beat everyone in an attempt to get him over. He was 25-years-old, fresh out of wrestling school and he was destroying the Hulk Hogans, The Rocks and The Undertakers of the world. Brock toppled just about everyone during his original two year stint in the company. Naturally, those stars wanted to get their heat back and beat Brock in rematches somewhere down the road. WWE were also hopeful that Lesnar could 'do the favour' for other up-and-coming stars in the future. But Lesnar left the company without really offering a chance of a receipt. He put over Eddie Guerrero and Goldberg, sure, but only begrudgingly and those high-profile jobs were also factors which led Lesnar to lose faith in the WWE machine and leave the company.
