While the now-infamous pipebomb promo from CM Punk was not an all-out shoot, its hard to argue that some of Punks sentiments werent truthful. Today in the WWE, nearly everything must be okayed by someone behind-the-scenes -- Vince McMahon supposedly still has final say over everything. Despite the fact that Punks promo was a worked shoot, many of his verbal jabs must have stung certain folks. His reference to the company being left in poor hands following the eventual death of Vince McMahon couldnt have sat well with many backstage. Furthermore, Punk referred to the Billion Dollar Princess, Stephanie, as Vinces idiotic daughter. He then topped things off by calling Triple H the doofus son-in-law. http://youtu.be/7Ms0DFxpptk?t=1m38s No matter how worked the promo may have been, those not-so-subtle digs at the people in charge surely must have ruffled a few feathers.
