8 Times Hulk Hogan Lost Clean

3. Jacques Rougeau (WCW House Show - 1997)

Aside from losing to Lex Luger on Nitro, the nWo-style Hogan didn't do a lot of jobs, certainly not during one of his most lucrative eras. It must have therefore come as quite the shock to fans in attendance at a WCW-branded house show in 1997 when one Jacques Rougeau (once known as one half of both The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers and The Quebecers tag teams) beat Hulk Hogan in the middle of the ring, 100% clean. Appearing during a radio interview after the match, Rougeau's assertion was that Hogan had done the job out of respect to him and his family, and all because the card had taken place at the Molson Centre in Montreal, Canada. A later story, as told by Kevin Steen (Kevin Owens on NXT) on Colt Cabana's 'Art Of Wrestling' podcast, tells the tale that Hogan was paid an extra $10,000 to lose, and only agreed to do so because it was an event organised by Rougeau himself, not an official WCW live event. Even with that in mind, it still must have been some surprise for the fans at ringside, who couldn't have been expecting such a thing. Imagine John Cena losing to Tyson Kidd on a random house show, and you'd be getting close to the kind of madness happening here!
