8 Times The McMahons Took Unnecessarily Stupid Risks

Shane McMahon is a chip off the old block if ever there was one. Like father, like son. Truly, the apple does not fall far from the tree, though ironically, the McMahon bushel tends to. What goes up must come down, and all that.

A cavalcade of cliches aside, if you ever wondered why Shane has such an unhealthy disregard for gravity, look no further than the exploits of his old man. At 1999's St. Valentine's Day Massacre, WWE sent a love letter to fans by finally pitting Steve Austin against his arch-nemesis Vince McMahon. They expected violent comeuppance, wrapped in a bloody red bow. Their hearts weren't broken - but the boss' body was.

Taking a plunge off a cage is dangerous in any instance, but infinitely more so when you're 53 years old and doing it in reverse. Everything could have went wrong with this spot, from a missed connection to a bonked head on the back of the barriers. Thankfully, everything went right, inspiring an admiring Shane to take after his brave pa.

Looked good, though.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
