8 Times WWE Recycled Show Names

6. Worlds Collide

SUPER SHOWDOWNS
AAA/WWE

It's hard to know if it was a conscious decision by WWE to name their January 2019 mélange of ancillary outfits after the WCW/AAA cross-promotion from 1994, famously one of the few shows which doesn't exist on the Network, or whether it was pure coincidence.

Either way, it was nowhere near as momentous as the Los Angeles show which famously featured Art Barr and Eddie Guerrero taking on Octagón and El Hijo del Santo in a five-star match for the ages.

Interestingly, ECW promoted their own 'When Worlds Collide' some six months before the AAA/WCW supercard, as 1000 people filled the ECW Arena to witness Sabu and Bobby Eaton defeat Terry Funk and Arn Anderson.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
