8 Times WWE Recycled Show Names

5. Roadblock

SUPER SHOWDOWNS
WWE

Another case of WWE bizarrely promoting two shows with the same name within the space of twelve months, as it turned out March's 2016's Roadblock, which featured Triple H defending his WWE Championship against Dean Ambrose, was mere congestion, whereas the December repeat was a cul-de-sac for Kevin Owens.

Actually, it wasn't, as he overcame the challenge of Roman Reigns to head into the Royal Rumble still as Universal Champion. Curiously, WWE's calendar was entirely clear of any further Roadblocks following 2016's double-header; the company has not used the Fastlane's logical counterpart since.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
