8 Times WWE Turned Trash Into Treasure

Heads were scratched when then-Raw GM Mick Foley scrapped a 'Best Of 7 Series' between Cesaro and Sheamus only to make the warring duo a tag-team last year. WWE rendered the entire exercise pointless by making this call, but they did accidentally produce one of the best teams to come along in years.

Sheamus and Cesaro were a random pairing, there's no denying that. The dreaded 'creative has nothing else for you' curse had landed, and both were doomed to tread water even after their feud. Whether by design or not, shunting them together worked for the Irish-Swiss connection.

Since then, Sheamus and Cesaro have been one of Raw's best tag-teams. In fact, had it not been for the return of The Hardyz, they'd be Raw's only top team following New Day's move to SmackDown. Both guys deserve immense credit for turning what seemed like a mediocre cop out into sheer gold.
