8 Totally Weird Inanimate Wrestling Sidekicks

5. Ladder

There's nothing quite like the history of DDT's Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship. It has changed hands more than 1,200 times. It's been held by a blow-up doll, a dog, a monkey, a chef, a garrulous guttersnipe, a three-year-old, a bus, the belt itself, and more.

But, without a doubt, the greatest inanimate champion in DDT history is Ladder, who has won the belt on three separate occasions. Now, granted, that's not a huge accomplishment when you consider that Joey Ryan is a 44-time champion, but still, three title reigns is nothing to sneeze at.

Plus, Ladder even received a heartwarming retirement ceremony from a grateful company after many years of service. After helping so many wrestlers to victory in ladder matches and TLC matches, it was a wonderful end to an inanimate sidekick's career.
