6. Stronger Female Characters

I'm well aware that WWE will never again display man-on-woman violence, and that's understandable. You won't see any matches on Raw like the Cage vs. Taya Valkyrie match that aired recently, in which Taya was ragdolled by a wrestler that's basically an aggressive hybrid of Ryback and Cesaro. What's lost in it is that Taya actually stepped up to Cage. Lucha Underground tears down the barrier between the men and the women, and presents them on as equal footing as possible, owing to differences in size physically. Taya stood up to the muscular Cage out of empowerment and confidence. Sexy Star and Ivelisse have consistently battled men without fear or hesitance. The supernatural Catrina (formerly Maxine in WWE) is both sultry and powerful as the current ruler of the Temple, and is a way more interesting woman-in-control than the screeching Stephanie McMahon. The likes of Sasha Banks and Bayley can wrestle very well, but you fear that because it's WWE, there's a ceiling in place. Hopefully, that changes.
