8 UFC Stars Set To Dominate 2020

2. Israel Adesanya

Israel Adesanya is well on his way to being one of the all-time greats, and at 30 years of age he's still got plenty of his peak years to come.

In a 2019 that saw The Last Stylebender beat the legendary Anderson Silva - himself viewed as the very best ever by many a fight fan - win an absolute war against Kelvin Gastelum, and then become the undisputed UFC Middleweight Champion after KO'ing Robert Whittaker, Adesanya is in the pound-for-pound top echelon of fighters in the world right now.

A middleweight contest against Yoel Romero seems nailed on to happen in the first half of 2020, and then we might finally get to see Israel Adesanya vs. Jon Jones at some point before the year is out. Adesanya and Jones never miss a chance to trash talk each other, and Israel has offered Jonny Bones the chance to drop down to middleweight to fight him.

If Jones does end up taking Adesanya up on that offer, it could well be that Israel Adesanya is the one to finally put a stop to Jon Jones' decade of UFC dominance.
