8 Ups & 0 Downs From Impact Wrestling Emergence 2020 (Part 1)

7. A Good Match And Good Stories

This week's instalment of Wrestle House shenanigans featured both a good match and a handful of good stories. So far, it's typically been one or the other, so to be gifted with both this week was a real treat.

First off, the stories. The Deaners found their beer had been stolen, sending them on a mission to find the culprit. While they didn't actually find out who done it by the end of the show, they were able to remove a couple of names from the search - Johnny Swinger, who is apparently on probation, and Alisha Edwards, who only drinks the fancy stuff. Secondly, it seems as if Rosemary's work has paid off with regards to Larry D, as the XXXL member walked in this week looking like a middle-aged, born again Christian, and referring to himself as Lawrence D. Add in John E. Bravo, and you've got yourself a good old fashioned love triangle.

As for the match, it was Taya Valkyrie vs. Kylie Rae, so it was never going to be anything other than an Up, even on the Wrestle House premises. With 'The Demon Assassin' acting as the referee, it meant 'Wera Loca' held the numbers game throughout, with the former Decay member tripping up 'Smiley Kylie' at one stage. You often forget how good of a wrestler Taya is, due to her perpetual cockiness typically taking over her whole personality. Even in defeat, she looked great here.

Wrestle House isn't quite as enjoyable as it once was when it first kicked off, however, it's still decent at the best of times.
