6. The Big Break Andrade Needed

The intriguing winners keep on coming!

Andrade badly needed something like this, because his WWE reprise had an air of AEW about it. Is that harsh? Tony Khan does have a nasty habit of debuting people hot then forgetting they even exist, to be fair. Seeing El Idolo point towards those MITB briefcases with a smile was worth the wait. He'd surely agree.

There was a familiar pattern to this three-way. The prior one featuring Hayes, Orton and Tonga had the right winner without totally sacrificing either of the two losers. The same thing happened here. Andrade needed it most, Kevin Owens (like Randy) has a Bloodline quest to follow, and Grayson Waller is a tag-team champ with a story (his possible split from Austin Theory).

Bonus points go to WWE for having the smarts to insert that Bloodline ambush right at the top of the segment. That injured KO's knee, which gave all three guys something to focus on throughout their match. Think of the injured wheel as a quasi-excuse for Owens too.

Another cracking little match.
