8 Ups & 1 Down For AEW Collision (Nov 4 - Results & Review)

1. A Smart Main Event

AEW Collision has often closed with a main event which clocks in around the 25 or 30-minute mark, with one such show-closer obviously going a full hour; that being FTR vs. Jay White & Juice Robinson. However, while this week's main event went a far shorter 15 minutes, it was a match that was handled extremely smartly.

In terms of in-ring, the work from all involved was good, but it was obviously La Facción Ingobernable who got to shine the most. Particularly, it was LFI leader Rush stealing the show. Having promised to return to AEW as "killers", Rush and Preston Vance certainly brought the intensity and aggression, with some exchanges between Vance and Big Bill, and Rush and Ricky Starks, being noticeably meaty.

Making Rush the star of the match - pinning Bishop Kaun after hitting the Bullhorn - was a wise decision, with him seriously having the ability and potential to be a legitimate top tier player for AEW. Likewise, the involvement of LFI in a bout featuring the AEW Tag Team Champions gets them in the mix for a future battle with Bill and Starks over those titles, while also keeping FTR in that conversation; all while not having the Tag Champs pinned or submitted here.

Post-match, the House of Black turned up on the video screen before surprising FTR in the ring, which in itself was an attack thwarted by the Blackpool Combat Club's Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta. Again, this furthers the issues between both BCC and House of Black, and FTR and House of Black - keeping several plates spinning.

All in all, this week's AEW Collision was one with a lot of positives, even if there wasn't too much that was massively newsworthy. Solid wrestling, solid storyline maintenance, a solid spotlight on the likes of Mark Briscoe and Rush, and a solid way to put together what's looking like a great episode of Dynamite on Wednesday.
