3. A Little More For The Ladies

It's sadly been a pattern that the women's matches of AEW Collision have landed on the Downs side of these articles, with that nothing to do with the talent involved, but all to do with how short shrift those ladies have been given each and every week.

Usually, AEW Collision will feature one sole women's match, which goes for approximately seven minutes, of which three of those minutes are spent in a picture-in-picture break. Also, Collision has still to feature more than one women's match, and two weeks ago that solitary match was all of two minutes. Again though, this isn't a Collision-specific problem; it's widespread across all AEW programming.

Thankfully, this week's women's match did at least get a little more time than usual, with Willow Nightingale vs. Emi Sakura clocking in at just over ten minutes. Yes, there was still the picture-in-picture break during part of this, but that's far more palatable when the match itself has been afforded more actual time.

In terms of the action, that was entertaining as Nightingale and Sakura laid in their shots. Particularly, Willow hit a lovely Death Valley Driver on the outside, a nice Spinebuster in the ring, and eventually put her veteran opponent away with the Doctor Bomb. Throughout, Nightingale, as per, delivered so much fun, natural babyface energy, and Emi was solid as the seasoned pro looking to teach her younger rival a lesson.
