8 Ups & 1 Down From Impact Wrestling (Jul 7)

7. Just Two Happy Gals

Kylie Rae and Susie vs. Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary was always going to be nothing other than a way to build to the knockouts Gauntlet Match at Slammiversary. Despite that, the match was still an alright bout between two tandems within the knockouts division, the second of which were making their official debut as an official tag team.

What made the match a tad more interesting was the vast difference between the two units. Rae and Susie are undoubtedly the two cheeriest members of the Impact roster, whereas Valkyrie and Rosemary are two interesting characters in their own right. 'The Demon Assassin' made a few comments at the beginning of the match with regards to Susie throwing away all the hard work that was put into bringing back Su Yung, which was a nice little touch all things considered. The match itself wasn't overly interesting, but it helped build towards 18 July at least.

'Smiley Kylie' forced Taya to submit with her Smile To The Finish, all while John E. Bravo tended to Rosemary at ringside. Not only did we get some build towards the Slammiversary match, but we also got some continuation of the Rosemary and Bravo saga, even if we're still waiting to know exactly what kind of relationship the pair are currently in.
