8 Ups & 1 Down From Impact Wrestling (Jul 7)

6. Old School Rules

Initially, this segment was a Down, with Tommy Dreamer going to the company's Championship Committee in order to secure an Old School Rules TNA World Heavyweight Championship match with Moose at Slammiversary. If you recall back to last week's episode, Dreamer stated that the title around Moose's waist isn't technically an active title in Impact Wrestling, so why would he need to head to the authority?

However, 'The Innovator of Violence' was again on top performance in this skit with 'Mean' Gia Miller. Delivering a promo that garnered a bit of a tickle from this columnist, big Tom read from an official letter written by his attorney Tricky Dicky Heyman - immediately a top-tier segment. Furthermore, Dreamer's statements that he apologised for hurting Moose's fragile ego, and that he believes Moose is a flat Earther may have been rather simple sentences, but they made for a pretty humorous segment at times.

In an ideal world, this will be setting up for a Moose victory over the extreme icon to further boost his 'Mr Impact Wrestling' persona. The addition of the Old School Rules stipulation will hopefully make for a somewhat decent encounter.
