8 Ups & 1 Down From Impact Wrestling (Jul 7)

3. Swingercide

Johnny Swinger donned the Suicide gear to challenge Willie Mack for the X Division Championship, and it was one of the best things to happen in Impact this year.

Swingercide, as we'll apparently calling him, was surprisingly a comedic genius when challenging 'Chocolate Thunder'. From the more overt motifs, like failing to cling on to the ropes for Suicide's trademark Spiderman dodge and refusing to do the swinging neckbreaker seeing as that would reveal his identity, to the simpler things, like not having the Suicide costume fully laced up and slipping off the ropes to land face-first on the turnbuckles, it was a whole host of laughs courtesy of 'The Swing Man'.

Swinger landing on the turnbuckles is what led to Mack getting the win with a Stunner, unfortunately bringing an end to a hugely entertaining match. To think, Swinger used to be a resident member of the Downs section of these columns, and typically for very good reasons. It's safe to say that Swinger's recent turnaround to being a positive part of the Impact product is mostly due to his partnership with Chris Bey, with The Finesse and Bench Press Express always making for a highlight on the weekly shows.

Please, for the love of God, allow this to continue for as long as possible.
