8 Ups & 1 Down From Impact Wrestling (Jun 16)
6. Worth The Wait
49 days. That's how long we had to wait to see newcomer Nevaeh make her proper in-ring debut after her initial appearance during part two of Rebellion. It's hard to disagree that her first match in an Impact ring wasn't worth the wait though, as she made an impression out of fellow newcomer Kimber Lee, with Tasha Steelz and Kiera Hogan - Nevaeh and Havok's adversaries as of late - sat in the front row to antagonise Nevaeh.
While it was a bit of a slower match in some places, that's what made it stand out from other bouts on the card. Not every match can be a high-octane spectacular - some need to slow the pace a bit. That said, it was still highly entertaining, with Nevaeh dropping Lee right on the top of her spine at one point thanks to a German suplex being a particularly nasty-looking moment. Add her match-ending Velveteen Dream-esque DDT, and you had a decent encounter.
As stated, it wasn't an especially fast-paced match, but it didn't need to be. You had two of the finest members of the Knockouts division on offer sharing a ring, putting their different arsenals to good use. It's a shame that Kimber Lee seemed like an afterthought here in amongst the whole Havok & Nevaeh vs. Tasha & Kiera story, but she still remained on top form throughout.
