8 Ups & 2 Downs For WWE SmackDown Superstar Shake-Up

4. Welcome Home

How great is it to have The Miz back on SmackDown?

He was one of the show's biggest highlights when the brand split returned in 2016, and Tuesday nights have missed him dearly. Last night saw him return via a selfie promo (with cameos from Maryse and their new daughter, Monroe Sky), and it was typically solid, with 'The A-Lister' promising to kick Daniel Bryan's arse next week, leaving the crowd baying for his blood.

This feud was one of SmackDown's biggest highlights in 2016, but Bryan's lack of medical clearance meant WWE could never pay it off. Now, they can. The company have already lined them up for a series of house show matches against each other, and while it'd be great to see them wait before pulling the trigger on a big pay-per-view singles bout, it looks like we're getting Miz vs. Bryan immediately. Along with Styles vs, Nakamura, this gives SD two genuinely exciting main event singles feuds for the first time in what feels like forever.

Sometimes, dear reader, the wrestling gods are kind to us...
