8 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (18 Oct)

3. Death Triangle Drop The Hammer

Storyline considerations boosted a very strong television match between Death Triangle and Best Friends/Orange Cassidy, aiding the sixsome to a memorable conclusion to their long-running, interconnected feud.

These two sides collided for the World Trios Championships in the immediate aftermath of AEW stripping The Elite of the belts post-All Out. Here, they outdid that first match. Best Friends and Cassidy were stymied early on, their continued attempts at crafting openings foiled by the champions, whose trident dive helped the match run through the gearbox. Later, the sides delivered a new take on the pop-up Destroyer spot, with Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta catching Penta El Zero Miedo, nailing the Strong Zero for a close two.

PAC, talked out of using the bell hammer by Rey Fenix, was given food for thought by the finish. Fenix pinned Beretta after hitting his over-the-shoulder sitout piledriver, proving him correct in his stance that 'The Bastard' doesn't need weaponry to win.

Nonetheless, the Death Triangle tension will likely continue beyond this.
