8 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (8 Dec)

7. Nice To Sue You

Trent Sue
AEW

While the match itself wasn't anything to write home about, Trent Beretta's return after The Young Bucks vs. Chaos was a good time across the board.

A big post-match beatdown saw The Elite set upon Chuck Taylor, Orange Cassidy, Wheeler YUTA, and Rocky Romero. "They've run out of Best Friends!!, proclaimed Taz when Trent and Chuck's music hit - but they hadn't. Sue pulled up backstage, a shorn-headed Trent hit the ring, and the returnee cleaned house, leading to a triumphant embrace with the rest of his crew.

Including new Chaos member Sue. Imagine a conversation between her and Tomohiro Ishii.

A feel-good moment in Beretta's home state (he has his surname back too), this was heartwarming. The guy's had a sh*tty year. Undergoing neck surgery in June, having been hurt less than three weeks after returning from his previous injury in April, Trent has more than earned a spot like this. Here's hoping this is the end of his woes.
