8 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (9 Feb)

7. The Symphony Swells

Wardlow Blade
AEW

In terms of content, this was indistinguishable to everything Wardlow has done in the ring in 2022.

In actual fact, it was more boring than his regulation, awesome squash. The placement of the ad break hurt it, adding knotty fat to the prime cut of beef that is Wardlow's offence.

But it's working.

The use of "symphony" is beyond inspired because the noise swells to a higher volume every week; on the back of booming Wardlow chants in the opening segment, the powerbomb deluge generated a louder response than the last time he did it, which was louder than the time before that.

Some have questioned how long this is going. Listen to the audience. They're still content that the crescendo has not been reached.
