8 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Full Gear 2020

Ups...

8. "ENOUGH! ENOUGH! ENOUGH!"

Darby Allin
AEW

The night's biggest angle saw a disgusting Taz hit the stage, barking Brooklynese at Cody Rhodes and Darby Allin. "Enough with the emotions, the hugging, the tears... all of this crap. MAN UP!", he yelled in that pitch-perfect delivery of his, opening the door for Brian Cage and Ricky Starks to attack from behind.

A two-on-two brawl with Cody and Allin saw the new TNT Champion put through a piece of staging before a chair-wielding Will Hobbs saved his arm from being crushed in a car door, closing a very effective, heated segment.

Taz's promo was great, the brawl was on point, and this not only set Team Taz up for a combination of matches with Hobbs, Rhodes, and Allin, but also teased inner conflict, with Cage and Starks eyeing each other over the television title. No wrestling promotion is more effective at developing as many storyline threads in a single segment as AEW.
