8 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Dec 27)

7. Sassy Southern Smarts

That's something Lacey Evans needs to learn (and fast) too. She's still mugging for the cameras whenever fans cheer her, and she's still generally wrestling as an arrogant heel. On the plus side, her springing Moonsault spot is flashy, and she's starting to show some Kevin Owens-like smarts in promos.

A smile crossed this writer's face when Lacey said she wasn't prepared to sit with her back to the entrance and let Sasha Banks or Bayley sneak attack her. The way she ended her appearance on 'A Moment Of Bliss' was snappy without being curt, and it came across as intelligent rather than rude.

Good times.

This was a rare example of a babyface doing their homework. Evans was portrayed as someone who had watched Alexa Bliss' talk show skits (or indeed any staged WWE interview segment) before and knew an ambush was incoming.
