8 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (16 Oct)

3. MJF vs. Sting Incoming

MJF Sting Wardlow
AEW

Everything MJF touches turns to gold. He's unmatched on the mic (not even the mighty Roman Reigns comes close when Friedman is in full flow), and knows exactly how to get under everyone's skin by being a top class d*ckhead. At the same time, MJF realises when it's time to tuck tail and run.

When Sting has a baseball bat, basically.

This week, MJF taunted an absent Darby Allin and tried to score a countout/forfeit win over his rival by making the referee count to 10. That brought out Sting, and the icon then bashed Wardlow with his bat when lil' Max shoved his bodyguard into harm's way.

AEW have a ton of room to manoeuvre here. They can book MJF vs. Sting before getting to the match with Allin, and Wardlow would be naturally angry that his Pinnacle buddy sacrificed him when they held the two-on-one advantage.
