8 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Dec 9)

Ups...

8. Hanging With Page

Hangman Page
AEW

A tidy bit of business to bring Hangman Page closer to The Dark Order saw Alex Marvez interview the former Elite man at the bar, asking who his partners would be in a six-man tag against Matt Hardy and Private Party next week. This came following the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royale, which Hardy eliminated Page from, and it saw Hangman admit he hadn't actually secured his partners yet.

John Silver and Alex Reynolds popped up from behind. Flexing their personalities, they talked their way into partnering Hangman, but for "just one match." Page asserted that he won't be joining The Dark Order.

Sure thing, pal.

This storyline works on several different levels, as the Order has been attempting to recruit Page since last year and his current situation makes him exactly the kind of insecure vessel they'd attempt to scoop up. Wherever this goes, it's hitting so far.
