8 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Dec 9)

7. Dustin Off Seven

Dustin Rhodes Evil Uno
AEW

Evil Uno trying to assign Dustin Rhodes the number Seven in the Dark Order, thus calling back to his disastrous WCW gimmick, was a great little detail that added a lot to the recruitment pitch, which 'The Natural' spurned by slapping the masked man across the face. "When you see the light, when you understand what I understand, you'll come begging for it," said Uno, calling the Order off from attacking Dustin.

This came after a quick, serviceable squash that saw Dustin overcome the Dark Order's beefer, Preston '10' Vance, with minimal fuss. A well-played affair, even if the bulldog finish felt like it came out of nowhere.

Having filled in the booking blanks by having Dustin cut a promo on coming after the Order during this week's episode of Dark, AEW hit the necessary story beats on Dynamite. Not the most game-changing thing you'll watch this week by a long shot, but effective.
