8 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (May 27)

3. Roll Model

Britt Baker Roll Model
AEW

It's a shame that Britt Baker is going to be out of action until All Out because she was absolutely marvellous last night.

Wheeled out onto the stage by former TNA star Rebel, the injured dentist delivered the third instalment of her Rules of Being a Role Model series: "don't hurt the Role Model." Wheelchair-bound, she talked about the "egregious assault" that left her with a broken tibia ahead of Double Or Nothing, calling it a conspiracy and a 3-on-1 calculated attack that had been in the making since AEW started.

Shida, Baker said, was a fraudulent champion who broke he nose, cheats, and carries a weapon. Kris Statlander being an alien is a "crock of sh*t." Having seen Nyla Rose come off the top ropes with precision several times before, the move that broke her leg must make her a conspirator as well.

Then came a ridiculous, elaborate graph linking every conspirator in the women's division together, with Aubrey Edwards right there in the middle. Baker said the referee had been there every time she'd been hurt - and thus begins her newest crusade.

This was tremendous. Baker is the most convincingly deluded heel in the sport right now and her paranoia was pushed to the forefront as she unfurled her conspiracy theory, then left on her "Roll Model" wheelchair. Let's hope the promos don't stop while she's hurt.
