8 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (May 27)

1. Finally, FTR

The Young Bucks FTR
AEW

It's good to finally see Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler on AEW television. Their debut was an inevitability from the moment they walked out of WWE, and now, with them and The Young Bucks under the same roof, fans can start preparing for their long-awaited programme.

The Butcher and The Blade attacked the Bucks after Matt and Nick Jackson had laid them out during the opener. An old pickup truck pulled up to Daily's Place and out stepped FTR, who stomped to the ring, teasing that they were going to destroy the Jacksons. Instead, they swerved Butcher and Blade, downing them with a Spike Piledriver and the move once known as the Shatter Machine, before rejecting the Bucks' offer of a handshake and bailing.

A well-played angle that didn't overstay its welcome, this would have unquestionably gone down better in a packed building, but this is the new reality. Lord knows how long AEW will be waiting for the noise to return. For now, they did the right thing in removing FTR from the unemployment line.

Time to find out if FTR still have their old NXT form in them. This columnist wouldn't bet against them...
