8 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite: New Year's Smash (Jan 6)

Miro Chuck Taylor
AEW

With Trent sidelined for four-to-five months, Miro vs. Chuck Taylor becomes the central focus of an ongoing storyline that took on a new theme at New Year's Smash.

AEW's Drip God interrupted Taylor and Orange Cassidy's interview with Dasha. Talking down to Chuck, he said it was time to stand up and be a man, not stand behind his allies like Trent's young boy. This clearly resonated with Taylor, who was goaded into committing to being Miro's own young boy until Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford's wedding if he loses to the former Rusev next week.

Simple, effective, and functional, this got us to a hook that should hopefully make this stuttering feud a tad more interesting, elevating it beyond material like "grown man gets upset over broken videogame."
